Cygames smartphone RPG “Granblue Fantasy” (グランブルーファンタジー) announced that the game will temporarily suspend voice recording due to the continuous spread of new coronavirus disease.
The decision is made in response to the State of Emergency Protocol enforced by the Government of Japan. Social distancing and stay-at-home measures make it hard to bring voice actors and staff to studios for recording sessions.
The announcement stated that the game contents updated after 23rd April 2020 will feature pre-recorded generic voice clips in place of fully voice-acted lines. The decisions may largely affect future scenario events, which are known to feature fully-voiced stories.
