ForwardWorks today (2nd June) announces that the puzzle-solving smartphone game “Toro and Friends: Onsen Town” will go global in late June. The game will be distributed by LINE GAMES’ subsidiary company PiG Corporation.
It is a game project celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Sony Cat franchise and was launched on 1st October 2019 in Japan under the title of “Toro to Puzzle: Doko demo Issyo” (トロとパズル~どこでもいっしょ~). The global version will support English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
▍Overview
“Toro and Friends: Onsen Town” is a match-3 puzzle game, where you are invited to participate in an onsen trip in Tenkū Machi (天空町) together with Toro.
The game’s exclusive character Sora entrusts you to revive the town, which was once a popular tourism spot with onsen and variety of fruits. You and Toro will be the tourism ambassador with an aim to rebuild the town by collecting different fruits.
In the game, players can interact with Toro, Pokepi, and their friends while solving the puzzles to help them rebuild the town. When each stage is cleared, new houses and buildings are available for players to build your own town.

The global version of “Toro and Friends: Onsen Town” now opens for pre-registration. All players will be able to obtain Coins x 5,000, boosters x 8, and a unique outfit when the pre-registration reaches 1,000,000.
