Nachi Kio’s light novel series “Remake Our Life!” (ぼくたちのリメイク) is confirmed to inspire a TV anime in 2021. The announcement is announced on the official twitter to celebrate the release of its 8th volume today on 25th November.
A special illustration by the novel’s illustrator Eretto is also revealed.
▍About the Series
Kodokawa released the first compiled book volume for the novels in March 2017. The light novel series ranked sixth in 2018 and seventh in 2019 in Takarajimasha’s annual light novel guide book “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!,” in the bunkobon category.
A manga adaptation by Bonjin Hirameki has been serialized via Kodansha’s Niconico-based Suiyōbi no Sirius manga service since November 2018. It has been collected in three tankōbon volumes.
“Remake Our Life!” centers on the unsuccessful game director Kyōya Hashiba. His company goes bankrupt, and he ends up returning to his parents’ home. He lies in bed thinking about the successful creators of his generation. When he opens his eyes, Kyōya finds that he has gone back in time 10 years to when he started college. He has an opportunity to remake his life, starting as an arts college student. He now lives in a four-person coed share house. Kyōya has the chance to spend his formative years with creators he knows will be famous in the future, but things might not turn out as he expected.
