Netflix announces today (17th February) that it is producing an original anime series “DOTA: Dragon’s Blood” based on the Valve’s video game franchise The 8-episode series will stream globally on 25th March.
The series is animated by Studio MIR which made “The Legend of Korra” and Netflix’s “Voltron: Legendary Defender”. Ryu Ki Hyun serves as co-executive producer.
The anime tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world. Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined.
