Square Enix’s “Legend of Mana” action RPG is getting an anime adaptation titled “Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal” in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the “Mana” game series.
Warner Bros. Japan is producing the anime, while Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab is the animation studio. The two studios previously collaborated to produce the opening movie for the remastered version of the “Legend of Mana” game. Details and the debut date of the anime project are yet to be announced.
▍About “Legend of Mana”
First launched in 1999, Legend of Mana is the fourth game in the Mana series, following 1995’s Trials of Mana. A remastered version was released on June 24, 2021 for PC, Switch and PS4.
The game follows an unnamed hero as they restore the land of Fa’Diel by creating the world around them and completing a number of interrelated quests in order to restore the Tree of Mana.
