The Injustice YouTube channel updates with a new reveal video introducing Firestorm. The new character was revealed exclusively earlier this week in one of UpUpDownDown’s YouTube video (Video Link). Injustice 2 is the sequel to Injustice, a fighting game based on the fictional DC Comics’ Universe released in 2013.
Like the previous reveal videos, Firestorm’s move sets, combos and special move cutscene was included, showing off the characters ranged capabilities.
Asides from the new character reveal video, through their official forums, Injustice announced that a new type of currency will be added to Injustice 2. The new currency, Source Crystals can be bought with real money and be used for purchasing in-game cosmetics including different shaders for character costumes to help players create their very own character looks.
Injustice stresses that Source Crystals are purely for cosmetic effects. Gears cannot be bought with Source Crystals so players won’t have to worry about the game being "pay to win" (Forum Announcement Link).
Injustice 2 is due out 16th May for PS4 and Xbox One.
