WFS and Visual Arts announced that the Heaven Burns Red mobile game project will be reactivated with new details shared via an online presentation on September 11. The project is a new game created by Key’s visual novel writer Jun Maeda.
A new visual by illustrator Yūgen and project reactivated video are revealed. WFS also opened a teaser site counting down the livestream, which is set to reveal more information about the game.

Heaven Burns Red was first announced in November 2019 and originally set for a 2020 release. But the project ceased without further noticement.
Visual novel brand Key’s co-creator Jun Maeda is credited as the original story and main scenario writer. He is also in charge of the game’s music and tracks. Heaven Burns Red will be Maeda’s first game since he created “Little Busters!” 15 years ago. He is also known to create AIR, Kanon and CLANNAD and writes the script for the TV anime series Angel Beats! and Charlotte.

The online presentation will be streamed on Youtube and Niconico on September 11, 20:00 [JPT]. The livestream has invited voice actresses Tomori Kusunoki, who voices the main character Ruka Kayamori, and Maekawa Ryoko, who voices Yuki Izumi, as guests.
The game’s character designer Yūgen, Key’s representative Takahiro Baba, and the game’s producer Yohei Kakinuma will also make appearances.
