Makoto Ojiro’s Kimi wa Hōkago Insomnia/ Insomniacs After School manga is confirmed to inspire a TV anime adaptation and live-action film.
To celebrate the release of the manga’s 8th volume, the TV anime and live-action movie adaptation , the author Ojiro drew a new illustration, featuring a small chat between the protagonists Isaki and Ganta.
▍About the Manga
Insomniacs After School is a coming-of-age story that sets in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, featuring two insomniac schoolmates, a boy named Ganta and a girl named Isaki. Both worry about their constant lack of sleep. After a chance meeting in the school’s observatory-turned-storage room, the two share secrets, and begin having an unusual connection.
The story was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits since May 2019, and an animation PV was shown when the 7th volume was released last year. The latest volume, volume 8 was published today on January 12.
