Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the My Hero Academia franchise is getting a free-to-play battle royale game, titled My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble, for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). The game is also having its first closed beta test in Japan from February 2 to 6.
The announcement was made in the New Year’s 7th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which is currently serializing My Hero Academia by manga artist Kohei Horikoshi. A new trailer previewing the game’s 3D battle system is also revealed.

My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble has a battle royale style system with up to 24 players join battles at the same time. Each team consists of three members who fight against each other to survive in the battlefield. The last team standing claims victory.
▍Work Together And Use Your Quirks!
By collecting items in the stages, players can increase the levels of their Quirks, making them stronger. You can also collect new abilities from cards, and trade them with your teammates. The video showed an example of Midoriya trading his Bakugo card, because that card could only be used by the teammate.
▍Closed Beta Coming Soon!
A closed beta test will be rolling out in Japan from February 2 to 6. Interested players cam apply the CBT on the official site. A total of 10,000 participants can join the test on PS4.
