Adam by Eve: A Live in Animation, a film about the Japanese singer Eve, will be distributed simultaneously worldwide by Netflix and shown in theaters at TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro and other locations from March 15. Studio Color will participate in the animation production.
The project is a “music movie” that sheds spotlight on the newly written songs by Eve, new animation, as well as live-action footage of the artist’s live performance.
The film is based on a story that revolves around Aki, a high school student who is searching for her best friend who has disappeared over the mysterious “Hitotsume” that appears in people’s dreams.
The live-action drama part will feature actress/model Hanon and singer/model Ao. According to a statement from the singer “It’s been two years since we couldn’t perform live, and we wanted to find a new way to deliver something different from our live performances. I hope you enjoy the extraordinary quality that went into the animation, live performance, CG, and story as much as I did.”
