After the great success of Ensemble Stars, Happy Elements’ Cacalia Studio gives a totally different shot on Helios Rising Heroes, a hero-training command battle RPG that takes place far into the future, when Substance, a mysterious phenomenon, gives certain individuals special powers.
The player join the world of Helios Rising Heroes as the commander of the heroes, and you must lead your Heroes to protect humans from the invasion of the mysterious enemy, ECLIPSE. But, as you live in the HELIOS Tower alongside them, you may also catch a glimpse of the ikemen in their daily lives…

Each and every artwork in Helios Rising Heroes is carefully crafted and beautifully drawn, with art style highly praised by both reviewers and players alike. New cards will added every month in the story event, which fulfil your desire to collect all the ikemen characters.
Every 4-star hero also has their own animation when activating their skills during battles. Every single one of those animations is a treat for the senses with fully voiced special lines.
▍An Engaging Story Delivered by the Popular Seiyuu
Helios Rising Heroes is also know for its engaging story and characters with a diverse personality. Each story chapter provides an in-depth look on the members of each sector, their conflicts and friendship. With characters from a totally different background, the main story is fun to watch and most importantly, fully voiced by some of the most popular seiyuu in the industry.
Otome game veteran will certainly know the name of Junichi Suwabe, Kenichi Suzumura, Kenshi Ono, who are some of the big names casting the 16 heroes in this game. Below is a list of all the voice actors you’ll find:
▍Causal Events Without Heavy Grinding
The game events can be divided into two categories: Hero Events and Sector Events. To keep the explanation simple, Hero events are the ones that involve random matchups, while Sector Events involve only heroes from a given Sector. That being said however, both event types have one thing in common: You don’t need to grind very heavily!
The more the battle points you collect from the event, the more rewards you can obtain. But even though the celling rewards go up to 10 million, you only need a fraction of that to get a good chunk of rewards, and that includes a free, maxed out 3-star hero.
And over the past couple of updates, Helios Rising Heroes has updated many quality of life improvements to make sure you don’t have to grind a whole lot.
▍Easy to Understand UI
The world of Helios Rising Heroes is set in a city in the US, so the UI and the game itself is was presented in English. The translation might not be clear-cut and perfect, but you can still get around with it, even if your Japanese knowledge is extremely limited.
Over the past few months of its release, the UI has seen its fair share of changes, and while some changes are…questionable, you can still browse around without any prior knowledge of Japanese!
▍Command Your Heroes in the Turn-Based Battles
The automatic turn-based battle system may looks easy in early battles, while all you need to do is to turn on the auto mode, but strategies and tactics are requires to tackle high difficulty content.
Each turn you will make four commands (character’s move and whether to activate their ability), and the order of your commands will also activate the characters’ link skills, a powerful attack that can swipe the enemies all at once! The higher the link skill level, the more powerful the attack.
The battle systems is easy to handle, but yet has depth for casual players who look for something challenging.
