Is Parvati a lookalike of Boudica? Are Parvati’s breasts a lookalike of Boudica’s breasts?
Parvati and Boudica were drawn by the same person, Takao Aotsuki (蒼月タカオ), a long time illustrator working for Type-Moon since early years. Ever since this Parvati card became available in Fate/Grand Order (FGO), Aotsuki has been accused of “tracing his own work” and “being lazy” – all because Parvati is way too similar with the other card he drew, Boudica, in terms of facial features and breast shapes.
Earlier last week, Aotsuki shut down his Twitter and Pixiv account due to some players’ unstoppable harassment and verbal abuse online.

In addition, this Parvati card has upset American Hindu statesman Rajan Zed. He wrote in his own site, “Goddess Parvati was meant to be worshipped in temples and home shrines and not to be reduced to just a “servant” in a video game to be used in combat in the virtual battleground”, and he demanded FGO to have her taken down.
In fact, many anime-style characters look very similar, especially when they are drawn by the same person. Previously, some also accused Kyoto Animation’s characters of “all having the same face”.
Perhaps it’s really not the illustrator’s fault. Perhaps it’s just people have had their aesthetic bar raised.
