On 8th March, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment announced The Division 2.
In the announcement, Ubisoft revealed that they are currently already working on The Division 2, and that “development will be led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest.”
In preparation for the new game, a new type of achievement called “Shields” will be introduced to The Division. According to the announcement “Earning them will unlock special rewards in The Division 2 when it launches.”
Ubisoft has yet to announce more for The Division 2, but the company has stated that more on the game will be revealed at E3 2018 this June, this could mean that The Division 2 could be one of Ubisoft’s headline games at E3 this year.
