Konami has announced that they will be releasing a new action game for the Castlevania series for iOS devices titled Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls (悪魔城ドラキュラ Grimoire of Souls). Konami has yet to announce the release date for the new game.
▍Story
The game is set in a future where Count Dracula has been completely destroyed. The world believed that eternal peace has been achieved.
However, that peace was brought to an end by a single letter delivered to Genya Arikado.
“The Grimoire has run wild, Count Dracula will be resurrected” these were the words written in the letter. In order to letter’s meaning, Genya Arikada sets off to find the letter’s sender.
About the Game
Grimoire of Souls will be a side-scrolling action game which features a brand new Castlevania story. The game will also include a Four vs. Four competitive mode. Players will also be able to review music from previous Castlevania titles.
A closed beta test for the game will be held in May. iOS users can sign up for the closed beta on the Closed Beta Test page.
