Talent agency WITH LINE announced today (3rd December) that Tatsuya Tokutake (徳武竜也) will retire from voice acting career on 31st December.

The official announcement on WITH LINE’s website does not explain why Tatsuya made this decision, but Tatsuya expresses his greatest gratitude to all the works, characters, staff, related parties and fans who supported him all the way through.

He apologizes for this sudden announcement and not being able to meet the expectations, but he hopes people will continue to support the works and characters. The support from his fans and the excitement from work are the treasures he will never forget. With that, he will work hard to advance in a new path.

Idolm@ster SideM’s Announcement regarding the character “Kazuki Tsukumo”

The Idolm@ster SideM also posted an official announcement today. As Tatsuya decided to retire from voice acting career, the voice actor of his character Kazuki Tsukumo (九十九一希) will be changed. They are still discussing the new cast and it will be announced shortly.

As for the CDs “THE IDOLM@STER SideM 5th ANNIVERSARY DISC 02” and “THE IDOLM@STER SideM WORLD TRE@SURE 12” that are scheduled to be released in January and February 2020, Tatsuya is still voicing Kazuki Tsukumo.

Tatsuya Tokutake’s voice acting career

Tatsuya made his voice actor debut in drama CD “saison autome autumn” (saison automne 秋) in 2015. In the following year, he joined a training project “TSUKINO CROWD” organized by TSUKINO PRODUCTION and voice-acted Maki Tatusmi (辰巳マキ). He is also in the group “&6allein”. His major roles include Idolm@ster SideM’s Kazuki Tsukumo (九十九一希) and Kakegurui’s (賭ケグルイ) Ryota Suzui (鈴井涼太).
