Level-5 announced that the puzzle-solving game “Professor Layton and the Lost Future,” the third installment of the series, will release worldwide for iOS and Android devices on 13th July 2020.
“Professor Layton and the Lost Future” initially launched for the Nintendo DS in 2008 for Japan and 2010 in the rest of the world. The new game will feature HD animation and handy functions that are adaptive to smartphones.
The game will support six languages including Japanese, English, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian, with a price of JPY$1,960.
▍Overview
The game starts with Professor Layton receiving a letter from his assistant Luke, with a message that comes from 10 years in the future. It seems a little absurd at first until Layton remembers a recent accident in London involving a time machine exploding.
Players will have to solve different puzzles to progress the story and uncover the mystery of this peculiar incident. These conundrums and minigames will all make use of ‘intuitive touch controls’. There will also be several characters you will meet in the story to chat with.
