The live-action movie of Kaiu Shirai (白井 カイウ) and Posuka Demizu’s (出水 ぽすか) shonen manga “The Promised Neverland” (約束のネバーランド) today (6th August) reveals a new poster and the 1st teaser trailer. The film will open on 18th December 2020 in Japan.

“Let Me Eat Your Pancreas” 19-year-old actress Minami Hamabe (浜辺 美波) stars Emma, while 13-year-old Jyo Kairi (城桧吏) and 17-year-old actor Rihito Itagaki (板垣 李光人) play Ray and Norman, respectively. Keiko Kitagawa (北川 景子) plays Isabella (also known as Mama), while comedian Naomi Watanabe (渡辺 直美) plays Krone.
The movie is directed by Yūichirō Hirakawa (平川雄一朗), director of “the Rookies” series and live-action movie “Erased”.
▍Synopsis
Emma, Norman and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing.
