Zappon’s “Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside” (真の仲間じゃないと勇者のパーティーを追い出されたので、辺境でスローライフす ることにしました) light novel series is confirmed to inspire a TV anime! A PC game is also confirmed to release on Steam in spring 2021.
▍About the Series
The series centers on Red who was once a member of the Hero’s party, a powerful group destined to save the world from the evil forces. That is, until one of his comrades kicked him out.
Hoping to live the easy life on the frontier, Red’s new goal is to open an apothecary. However, keeping the secret of his former life may not be as simple as he thinks. Especially when the beautiful Rit, an adventurer from his past, shows up and asks to move in with him!
Zappon released the novels on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2017 and was published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko in 2018 with the illustration of Yasumo. The series has been collected into seven volumes and its circulation has exceeded 1 million as of November 2020.
A manga adaptation by Masahiro Ikeno started serialization in Kadokawa’s Shōnen Ace magazine in 2018. Ikeno posted a new illustration to celebrate the anime adaptation.
The series is also confirmed to release a new RPG game on Steam in spring 2021.The original author Zappon will supervise the game’s development.
It is up to the player to decide what kind of life he / she spends in the remote area of Zoltan. In the game, you can enjoy a relaxing slow life such as developing a romantic relationship with the heroines, managing your pharmacy, collecting medicine materials, battles, exploration, guild missions, etc.
