The anime adaptation of Yasuki Tanaka’s Summer Time Rendering SF suspense manga revealed the key visual and first trailer. It is confirmed to premiere in April 2022 with two cours.
The series centers on a young boy Shinpei, who returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima after hearing the death of his childhood friend of Ushio. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. The 25-episode anime will follow the whole story till its end.
As previously announced, Natsuki Hanae plays Shinpei Ajiro, while Anna Nagase plays his childhood friend Ushio Kofune. Saho Shirasu plays Ushio’s sister Mio.
The anime series is directed by Ayumu Watanabe, with Hiroshi Seko overseeing the series’ scripts, Miki Matsumoto designing the characters, and Kusanagi handling the art. Keiichi Okabe, Ryuichi Takada, and Keigo Hoashi are composing the music at MONACA. OLM is the animation studio.
