BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment announced that Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, the latest instalment of the Taiko no Tatsujin Series is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2022.
The title is the latest in the Nintendo Switch series after a long four-year hiatus, and features the “Sharing Joy-Con” and “Shaking” performance features available at the previous title, Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum’n’Fun.
A new character, Kumo Kyun, has been added to the game. Additional features include online battles, a party mode, and a music subscription service.

76 songs will be available on the game’s release including popular hits such as MEGALOVANIA (Undertale), Gurenge (Demon Slayer), Kaikai Kitan (Jujutsu Kaisen), and more!
▍Play Together With Friends!
In Rhythm Festival, you’ll be able to participate in two special modes: The DON-chan Band and the Great Drum Toy War!
■ DON-chan Band
In DON-chan Band, up to 4 players can cooperate together to play a single song! Each player can choose from a variety of instruments. This mode can be played either online or locally (with additional Joy-Cons for each player.)
■ Great Drum Toy War
In this mode, you’ll challenge another player and fight together to see who will cede first! As you drum notes successfully, you can send interruptions that will cover your rival’s screen.
▍Customize Your Don-Chan!
Various accessories and outfits can be obtained. Your DON-chan can be customized however you like! Try out different accessory combinations and make yourself unique!
▍Expand Your Catalogue with the Taiko Music Pass!
A paid music subscription service called “Taiko Music Pass” will be available!
You can play over 500 additional songs from a variety of genres, and the music lineup will be updated monthly!
