The latest addition to the esteemed Persona series Persona 5 Tactica will be made available worldwide on November 17 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam!
Persona 5 Tactica marks a new venture for the franchise, immersing players in a new captivating story, with the Phantom Thieves navigating an unfamiliar world while combating an oppressive force known as the Legion. The announcement also detailed exciting game features like a novel battle system, character-driven music, and the release of an additional DLC episode “Repaint Your Heart,” coming at the same time as the game’s release.

Persona 5 Tactica will introduce a new battle system that brings a fresh perspective to the Persona series. The game is a simulation RPG where the player forms a party of three from the members of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, and the new character Elle. Your location in relation to the enemy and the cooperation of the three party members are crucial to the battles.
The characteristic elements of Persona 5’s battles are still present, with hiding behind walls and shooting, approaching for close combat, and attacking with “persona”. Furthermore, if you knock down the enemy with an attack, you get 1MORE, which allows another action! Also, the familiar series staple of “All-Out Attack” is here. If you “surround” a knocked-down enemy with your three team members, it’s “TRIBANGLE” GO!! An All-Out Attack is launched, dealing massive damage!

Close to the graduation ceremony, on a snowfall day at Leblanc, the members of the “Phantom Thieves of Hearts” were gathered after school, enjoying a conversation.
Suddenly, a strange phenomenon occurred on the TV, and along with a large tremor, something strange also happened inside the shop. As everyone was puzzled, the usual door of Leblanc emitted a suspicious light.
The other side of the door they cautiously opened was an unfamiliar, otherworldly place, reminiscent of medieval Europe. In this mysterious world, an armed group called “Legion” was unjustly oppressing the city and its citizens, asserting their domination.
Joker and his team, deemed rebels, were quickly surrounded by the Legion, resulting in a desperate pinch. Just then, they were rescued from their predicament by a mysterious figure who introduced herself as “Revolutionary Elle.” The Phantom Thieves find themselves agreeing to her proposed deal of cooperating for a “revolution.”

■ Protagonist – CV: Jun Fukuyama
The protagonist of Persona 5 Tactica is a second-year high school student. He becomes entwined in the ‘Mental Runaway Incident’ happening in Tokyo, awakening his Persona abilities. As the leader of the Phantom Thieves, who cause a stir in society by reforming the distorted hearts of rotten adults, his codename is “Joker.” While having a conversation with the members of the Phantom Thieves in Leblanc, he suddenly finds himself lost in a mysterious other world. His Persona is Arsène.
■ Morgana – CV: Ikue Ōtani
A black cat(?) who speaks the human language and has been acting together with the protagonist since being rescued from another world. Although Morgana appears as a cat in the real world and speaks human language, only cat sounds are heard by those around her. With abundant knowledge of the other world, Morgana serves as the guide and mascot-like figure for the Phantom Thieves. His Persona is Zorro.
■ Elle – CV: Rie Takahashi
Elle is a new character introduced in the game – a mysterious girl who saves Joker and his team from a dire predicament. She is a headstrong type of girl who can’t ignore people suffering unjustly. Although she struggles with the minutiae, her action-oriented approach and her bright, lively personality have won her the trust of the Revolutionary Army, of which she is the leader. Does she raise a rebel flag against the oppressors who are tormenting the city and proposes a cooperation deal to the Phantom Thieves to achieve a revolution…?
▍Persona 5 Tactica Music & DLCs
The game’s music concept leans towards a straightforward rock sound primarily led by guitars. Notably, Lyn Inaizumi is once again in charge of the vocal songs such as the opening, ending, and battle music. The sound composer is Toshiki Konishi from the ATLAS sound team.
Also announced is an episode DLC titled “Repaint Your Heart,” released concurrently for those who have enjoyed the main story. This DLC features a much-anticipated character exclusive to the DLC. You can enjoy thrilling battles with new rules in a new story!
In addition, a particular persona can be obtained as a bonus for early purchases. Both the package version and the download version come with a DLC that allows the summoning of notable personas “Orpheus Picaro” and “Izanagi Picaro” in the game. More details on these offerings will be released soon.
