Nintendo has rewarded fans of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the announcement for the game’s sequel during the E3 Nintendo Direct!
Nintendo has yet to reveal the official title of the game, but in the teaser trailer fans got a sneak peek into what the sequel will have to offer fans. From what Nintendo revealed, the beloved glider will be making a return. The sequel also appears to have a lot more verticality than the original with footage of Link sky diving and the iconic Hyrule Castle floating ominously in the skies. In addition to taking to the skies, near the end of the teaser, Link can be seen moving through the ground, suggesting some sort of underground travel mechanism.
The most exciting news in the trailer was that the game is expected to release on Nintendo Switch in 2022.
